Still working on images
Wednesday, August 10, 2005 at 09:39PM I have to say i am closer to getting some images up to the website. I have selected about 40 or so i will add to the gallery. I have to do some image cleaning due to getting some dust on the sensor during lens changing in Colorado. The wind always blows when you take flower pics, right? Exactly! So there is the only disadvantage I see to digital. The images I will post will be straight shots out of the camera with a few adjustments to color and exposure. All taken with a Canon 1Ds and all L glass with the exception of the 100mm macro lens, which by all standards is good enough to be called an L series lens. It is one sharp lens!
Ok, so off to image processing I go. I still have not installed CS2, but it is on the desk and ready to load. I used Dr. Brown's Image Processor ( a script file from www.russellbrown.com ) to process raw images and make my jpegs. CS2 has the image processor built in the file browser! It is a great tool for batching lots of files. So much for that, I am off to visit Dr. Brown!

Back from Colorado
Monday, August 8, 2005 at 09:06PM Back from a week in Ouray, Colorado photographing wildflowers. I took lots of photographs and I am now in the process of sorting through the hundreds of images taken on the trip. I have never seen such a spectacular display of colors! I hope to have some images up in the gallery this week. The new Canon 1Ds worked great, and I love having the full frame ability in a digital camera. I love to put a 20mm lens on and get 20mm! I'll try to get some images up this week.
